Recipes for Detox Diet

There are many recipes for detox diets that cater for all aspects of the body. Detox diets seem to be in vogue at the moment which thousands of people for the first time experiencing the benefits of detoxifying their bodies. Maybe you want to try a detox and experience the rush of the cleanse that many do experience. To get you start below is a 48 hours detox that is not too difficult to complete.

Getting Ready To Detox

Before starting a detox don’t binge on foods and drinks you are going to miss. Reduce these as you get closer to the time you intend to detox as this will make the whole process much easier.

What You Can Drink

For this 48 hour detox you can only drink water and pure fruit juice. Try and drink at least 8 glasses of water each day. Below are 2 recipes for juices that may spice up your detox a little.

Carrot Punch

1 whole apple – including seeds
4 or 5 carrots
A small handful of spinach
1 cucumber

Add the above to a juicer and drink straight away whilst fresh.

Green Magic

2 green apples
4 stalks of celery
6 Chinese leaves
Juice of 10cm of cucumber

Add the above to a juicer and drink straight away whilst fresh.

What You Can Eat

Breakfast

Wholegrain cereal (no added sugar) and fruit.

Lunch

Fresh Salad and 1 piece of fruit.

Dinner

Any form of natural veggie soup.

Dinner should be eaten no later than 7pm.

Remember to drink plenty of water throughout the day at least one glass per hour if possible

Stick to this detox diet plan for just 48 hours and you should feel the benefits.

    Heavy southern: my Dirt Road chicken Soup.
    Ingredients:
    4 Chicken bullion cubes.
    4 cups of water
    ¾ cup cooked chopped chicken
    ½ cup frozen corn
    1 medium carrot shredded.
    ½ cup diced onions.
    1/4 cup of pickled jalapeños juice and all (you want more juice than peppers)
    ¾ cup of chopped peppers the more varieties of peppers the better it tastes.
    ¼ cup brown rice
    ¼ cup quick grits
    ½ cup of celery
    1 clove garlic
    1 tablespoon soy sauce
    ¼ teaspoon sage
    ¼ teaspoon white pepper
    1 tablespoon honey
    A dash of dill seed
