   part 3 of 3. Presidents are all different, even those cut from the royalist’s Republican mold. I want to see our president succeed in spite of his propensity for trusting those with another agenda other than the public good. Inexperience and the reality that he doesn’t know everything about everything compels him to surround himself with reliable advisors. When political considerations effect those choices, you can bet bad advice is forthcoming. Being the head of the gang who can’t shoot straight, the Democrats in the Senate, requires more than patience. It requires a cattle prod and bullhorn. Siccing the Justice Department onto the Oil and Coal companies and Congress isn’t as far fetched as it may sound. Too many, more than a majority, have been corrupted by money, bribes and arrogant illusions of power. It would be enlightening to see who runs for cover. Corporate America has been so used to being in the driver’s seat, it might take more than a concerted effort to extricate them from their entrenched boardrooms. He will need the Media on his side, and they have already chosen commercialism to champion. Commercial interests sign their paychecks. But if there is a sliver of hope America will survive its sins and faults, the effort to demonstrate executive leadership is worth it. The independents will respect him for it. The Democrats may even have another shot at the apple. Right now, every minute of deep water spill, is a minute closer to defeat for all Democrats.
