Is it OK to toss nopal (prickly pear cactus) in champion juicer spikes and all?

You can toss oranges peels & all, and apples core & all so it would seem OK. This would make them a lot easier to prep, otherwise you have to cut off each spike. Is there any reason you shouldn't?
I am talking about a juicer, which is a wicked different beast than a food processor or a blender. The juicer has a very fine mesh screen, and only the liquid goes through. What's left ... you compost. But I'd still like to hear from someone else who does it.
Yes BTW the idea is to consume the juice.

First of all what exactly are you going to do with nopales?
It sounds like if you want to eat/drink it, you should take the spikes off, as they could not all blend well and stab your inside.

Good Luck!

The uber expensive Le Creuset Tagine was a gift so I felt compelled to at least try it. Honestly, it doesn’t do anything that can’t be done in a Dutch oven. Speaking of that, I cook rice all the time but have never gotten used to cooking it in the steamer thingee. I cook it in the same cast iron dutch oven that I cook all sorts of other things in. I’ve mentioned this before on r/cooking, but basically by mixing brown and white rice together, I can do rice on the stovetop in about 18 minutes, which is less time than the steamer gizmo takes. The “odd” thing on my list is a Champion Juicer. 99% of households probably don’t need one. Me? I loves some carrot/apple/pineapple/cabbage or whatever juice. It’s probably the weirdest thing I use on a weekly basis.
