Frozen Fruit Juicer Recipes
Frozen Fruit Juicer Recipes
blender the same as juicer?

our blender broke down recently but a few months ago, we purchased a juicer (you know those ones that cut fruit to make juice)
i was just wondering, i want to make this frozen dogs treat recipe for my dog and since allt he stuff is mushy, if i could put it through the juicer instead?
would this work?
this is the recipe:
32 oz. plain yogurt
1 mashed banana
2 T p'nut butter
2 T honey
also, what does oz. mean? what is that in grams?

a juicer is only suited to extract liquids from fruits and vegetables, i don't think you need even a blender for that recipe since they are easy to homogenize by hand - maybe add a little hot water to the honey to melt better into the mix. 1oz is almost 30gms - i think it is 28 grams to be exact but not sure

How to freeze blackberries

Many people are unsure as to whether or not you can freeze blackberries once they have been picked, and the answer is yes you can! Millions of blackberries get thrown away each day because people do not realise that they can be frozen and used in a variety of ways.

When freezing blackberries it’s best not to wash the fruit beforehand as they are prone to going mushy once defrosted.

Place the blackberries on a flat tray (one that is small enough to go in your freezer), arrange the blackberries on the tray ensuring that they don’t touch. Place gently into the freezer and allow to freeze for a few hours.

Once the blackberries are completely frozen, remove from the tray and place in either a sealed container with a lid on or a freezer bag with a tie.

Depending on what you want to do with the blackberries, you can either throw them in a smoothie (defrosted or frozen) or bake in a pie.

By using blackberries in a homemade smoothie you are drinking lots of goodness and vitamins in just one glassful and your smoothie can be extremely low fat too.

Below are a couple of free tasty smoothie recipes for you to make at home. You will not only save money, but you know exactly what ingredients has gone into it.

I'm definitely going to try these, this fall (and/or winter) using our overflowingly full freezer fruits. I've never tried mixing peach and strawberry, but I'm very excited to try it.

I was wondering, though, if you had any advice for any possible changes that might be necessary for using frozen fruit versus fresh for this recipe. In my case, both the peaches and the strawberries would be frozen (strawberries=june; peaches=august).
