Wow, I thought I was the only one who was disappointed with all of the Spider-Man films, it's nice and unfortunately rare to find someone else who feels the same way. I loved the comics…and Sam Raimi unfortunately made me lose some love with the character because of these sub-par films. I agree so and I mean SO wholeheartedly with Tobey Maguire, he's the main reason why I'm not a big fan of the films. Spidey SHOULD be sarcastic and a wiseass. Tobey just can't do that. Very cool video sir.

You raise an interesting point. It would cost $1.6B to install scrubbers for coal fired plants. That's a lot of money.
Speaking of a lot of money…. Samsung has been given a deal to provide 2000MW of “Green {Power” — wind and solar. So let's look at the money….
Assuming 30% efficiency… 2000MW * 30% == 60MW of power available.
So each day we get… 600 * 24 = 14,400 MWH of energy.
At the current spot rate (About $37 per MWH) that energy is worth $532,000.
Unfortunately we pay about $145 per MWH (or more) for “Green Power” –
That is 600MW * 24Hr * $145/MWH = $2,088,000
The difference is $1,556,000 per day. That is about (30 *1.56) $46.680 per month extra. Or about $560.16 Million per year extra.
Based on a 20 year contract that is a clear and cool difference of $10 Billion. Between what we should and will pay — based on current rates…
That's not bad return for a few months lobbying and negotiating and a few promises to build manufacturing plants — someday.
Of course there is all that pesky CO2 to get rid of. All that Plant food that will make the trees grown bigger — if there is any room left to grow trees after we replace forests and farms with spinning wind mills…
It makes scrubbers look cheap — doesn't it?

I agree. But it is also the narrowmindedness of the rich who want to keep the status quo. The era of electric car technology has come and they steadfastly refuse to change and adapt. It's no different than DVDs taking over VCRs. With Electric cars there is a new market growing in electronics. There can always be more add-ons and cool gadgets to add to electric cars such as solar panel accessories to conversion of the car to power household appliances in case of an earthquake.

We're also fortunate to have a Green Power alternative for our electricity here, and while we can't quite afford complete green power yet, we purchase a percentage. When the time comes that I have my own kilns, I will purchase all the power for them as green power. The eventual dream is to go solar, and actually sell solar back to the grid.You can check for green power alternatives for your state at the Dept of Energy website
