How do people at the raves slide their feet across the ground so swiftly? I'd trip with the grip on my shoes.

How do people do some of these dance moves at raves and to music like progressive house, trance, electro, house etc? Also some tips about how to bust moves on the dance floor at a rave would be handy.
How do people do some of these dance moves at raves and to music like progressive house, trance, electro, house etc? Also some tips about how to bust moves on the dance floor at a rave would be handy. I have converse shoes, combat boots, and some business shoes and can't seem to wear down the tread on them enough. If you do slide around on the dance floor what brand of shoes are your personal favorites?
Sorry keep adding a little bit here and there. What about felt pads super glued to the bottom of my converse shoes? They'd probably last the night and fall off after a bit of walking on pavement.

The trick is to have the right kind of bottoms on your shoes. If you have the normal kind of bottoms on the soles, they will grip the floor. My suggestion would be to have a cobbler attach a layer of smooth leather to the bottom of the sole.

In actual fact, I know a person who had a shoe repair shop grind down the tread on his sneakers so that leather could be properly bonded to the sole. He can do a nice slide.

I don't know if the only people who do this are swing dancers applying leather to the soles of sneakers or tango dancers applying leather to the bottoms of less expensive shoes.

There is a good "how to" article for applying suede soles to the bottom of shoes used for dance. It is actually something you can do yourself, if you are so inclined. http://www.twosteptidewater.com/Dance_Tips/dance-tip-79-do-it-yourself-suede-sole-shoes.htm

Camera 500D - As A Second Camera Handy Almost A Shame

A few weeks ago I have gained the EOS 500D and am still thrilled with this camera.

I previously owned the predecessor EOS 450D and EOS 40D.

What ultimately persuaded me to switch to the Camera 500D, were really only 2 points, but have it in themselves:

First, the significantly expanded ISO range up to 12,800 in conjunction with with the new signal processor Digic 4th Higher ISO values over 1600 were previously reserved for only the simple-and double-digit Canon cameras. With a little reworking on the PC are even photos ISO 6400 will still be useful, especially if one wishes not to make poster-size prints of them.

Secondly, the significantly higher resolution and better anti-glare monitor with 920,000 (sub-) pixels, which is a VGA resolution and now represents excellent sharpness assessment permits currently in Live View. Sun saw the photos on my recent displays 230,000 pixels in fact always sharp, and at home on the PC monitor then the truth came to light.

The video mode is just a nice addition for me, was not so very crucial. Will probably only really interesting when you can take on the aperture and shutter control, such as the EOS 5D MK II Perhaps yes, there`s for the Camera 500D soon a firmware update.

Thus, introduced himself to me only with the question: EOS 500D or EOS 50D?

From my experience with the EOS 40D I am of course aware that the EOS 50D in handling, processing and overall performance
(and, unfortunately, of course, in the price) a whole step above the Camera 500D is located.

But there is already my EOS 40D to stay more time at home and let the little Canon had to go first (especially
if one is traveling with the kids), the choice fell on the EOS 500D.

I still have the original Canon battery grip BG-E5 ordered additionally and find that this combination is an excellent.

Compromise between performance (BG-E5 off) and "Everywhere Take away quality" (BG-E5 is from).
