High Performance Juicer

I am trying to compare juicers. One is described as having a "High Performance 3,600 RPM Induction Motor"?

...the other as a "powerful 700-watt motor". So which one is best?

Go with the higher watts. Higher watts will give higher RPMs.

Look for a juicer that has the below product features so you spend more time juicing and less time looking at an empty or quiet juicer.

■Adequate Horsepower or Watts - Juicers list their power ratings in watts or horsepower. Horsepower is an approximate measure of watts or electrical power and can be used to describe a juicer’s motor. One horsepower is approximately equal to 746 watts. Look for a juicer that has at least 1/3 to1/2 horsepower or about 240 to 375 watts. Higher horsepower or watts impacts the juicer’s blade speed.

■Keep The Blade Spinning - Juicers that have lower horsepower or watts can have their blade’s revolutions per minute, or RPM, slow down when food is put into the appliance and impact the juicing. Buy higher horsepower versus higher RPMs

How to Perform a Detoxifying Juice Fast

Nutritionists and doctors agree that it's beneficial to your health to eat roughly one pound of raw vegetables for every fifty pounds of your body weight. This means that the average male needs to consume approximately 3.8 pounds of raw vegetable and women should consume about 3.3 pounds. Obviously, this is a large amount to take in on a daily basis. However, by vegetable juicing, consuming three or more pounds of raw vegetables is easier to manage. Juice fasting is even a better way to jump-start your body into a clean, detoxified state.

But how can you perform your own juice fast?

Instructions

1. First, determine if you should be participating in a juice fast at all. If any of the following apply to you, do not proceed with a juice fast unless first consulting your doctor:

  • Pregnant or nursing.
  • Have diabetes, eating disorders, low blood sugar, kidney disease, malnutrition, liver disease, addictions, anemia, are underweight, impaired immune function, nutritional deficiency, ulcerative colitis, low blood pressure, infection, cancer, epilepsy, terminal illness or other chronic disorders.
  • Before or after surgical procedures.
  • Check with your doctor to make sure that your prescription medications will react well to a juice fast.

2. Seven days before the start of your juice fast, cut out all nicotine, alcohol, caffeine, dairy, sugar, animal meat, eggs, wheat and fish of your diet.

3. Set aside between one and three days for your juice fast.

4. Make sure that you are using a high quality, safe juicer for your juice fasting.

5. Drink between 32 and 64 ounces of juice per day.

6. Drink six glasses of room temperature filtered water every day, in addition to the juice.

7. When you have fasted as long as you would like, ease yourself back into "regular" foods. Avoid oily food as well as rich foods initially. Wait until you're hungry to eat—don't eat just because the clock says you should.

8. You're done! Enjoy the energy boost and wellbeing that comes after a juice fast.

Tips and Notes:

  • Recommended fruits and vegetables for your juice fast include: carrots, celery, cabbage, kale, pineapple, apple, spinach, cranberry, beets, and greens. Avoid citrus fruits.
  • Organic veggies and fruits are highly recommended.
  • Be sure to remove pits of apricots, peaches and other fruits; apple seeds; carrot tops; and tough skins before juicing.
  • Your juice should be consumed at room temperature. If you have stored your juice in the refrigerator, take it out about thirty minutes before you plan on drinking it so that it can reach room temp.
  • If you simply can't handle not eating all day long, one meal a day can be consumed.
  • Don't tell everyone you're fasting. This can create unnecessary pressure and make your fast an unfulfilling experience.
  • If you have leftover juice, make sure you store it in a dark, cool place.

I have a big animosity for these “new” XML-based chat protocol(s?). XML may be neat but the efficiency of them is horrible. I think the average packet is 40% payload and 60% protocol-related data. At least when packing them, the ratio might improve significantly, on the other hand would that mean, that every single message has to be deflated. Great for server load, I guess… High-performance networks even thought the IRC protocol is not good enough and invented the P10 server-to-server protocol (have a look at it, it looks like IRC but way more cryptic) to what I assume is save traffic. Get off my lawn.

This is by far one of the dumbest comments I have read in a while. LOL!
