Homemade Juicers

Will my smoothies harm my....?
waistline? Since buying my juicer i LOVE making homemade fruit juices and smoothies out of the usual fruits..i usually add a carrot or 2 for the goodness and sometimes some unsweetened natural yoghurt or some skimmed milk and a touch of honey or some muesli if it's a breakfast one. I don't like the vegetable ones, they make me gag, but will occasionally add vegetables such as tomatoes or carrot to the mix. I have upto 3 of these a day and feel full of energy, but i don't want to gain weight, so am i going about this all wrong? By the way i substitute the drinks for something else, such as a snack, breakfast dinner, then i have an evening meal...is this good or bad? All this energy's gotta be burning the cals...right? Should i cut down?
Make the drink with stuff thats good for you, add soy milk instead of regular milk, use frozen yougurt instead of ice cream, add protien powder or some calcium capsules. Some good things about the soy milk, powder or yogurt is that you can mix and match different flavours! Also, stick with fresh fruit instead of frozen. Its more wholesome. I'm not saying that you can't put in a few frozen mango slices and blueberries when they're out of season, just keep it balanced by adding more wholesome ingredients into the mix!
As long as you keep it good for you and don't have huge portions if you're having them 3 times a day, you shouldn't fluxuate that much

How do you make homemade sugar cane juice?
We need to know how much sugar cane would make 8 oz. of juice, and do you need to peel it?
How is it processed?
Are there any juicers that are cheap on ebay or something?
Links please.
In order for you to extract juice from a sugar cane you need a special pressing machine for that or a strong enough one to crush down this bamboo-like plant, I know this because when I was on vacation on Puerto Rico I visited the main Bacardi plant which does uses sugar cane juice for many of their products and they had a massive pressing machine for this task in there. As far as peeling it first, don't do it because if you peel the sugar cane and then run it thru one of these pressing machines you will lose a good 40% of the extracted juice, it will splatter all around the machine itself! You might be able to find a pressing machine for this kind of job on ebay, just make sure it will do the work and not break appart on ya!
