use a juicer as a canner?
is that possible? can you make preserves with it??
well, i dont know, thats why i asked, i havent really looked at my husbands juicer...
You could use the juicer to extract juice and make jelly. But for jam, you want mashed up fruit.
Do some digging around in this site.

peach jelly for home canning recipe?
I need a recipe for home canning for peach jelly. Im not sure how to juice a peach.Im new to this.I dont have a juicer.I will be using the water boiling canner method.thanks
PEACH JELLY
Peel peaches. Cover them with water and boil them until juice is well extracted. Press through jelly bag, strain and measure. To each pint of peach juice add 1 pint apple pectin and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Bring to a boil and add 3/4 cup sugar to each cup of juice. Boil rapidly to jelly stage. Pour into hot sterilized glasses.
OR TRY
PEACH JELLY
2 1/2 c. peach juice
3 lb. peaches
3 1/2 c. sugar
1 box powdered pectin
Peel peaches (do not crush) and place in a kettle and add water to cover. Bring to a boil and simmer 30 minutes. Drain and strain juice through a cloth or jelly bag. Mix pectin and juice and bring to a hard boil. Add sugar all at once, stirring gently and bring to a rolling boil. Boil 1/2 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, skim foam from top. Pour into jars; clean sealing edge with damp towel. Tighten lids. Yields three 8 ounce jars.
