A good idea? Pouring ACV+maple syrup on top?

I made this simple cake for a party at a local youth bureau for my son. I cut the sugar so I poured maple syrup on top. The taste was good, but I felt it kind of still dry & uninteresting, so I tried a small piece with a little ACV whose bottle happened to be in front of me and personally I find that piece soaked in ACV pretty good!
But do you think it's a bad idea for the cake for a party?
ACV= apple cider vinegar
I don't mean to offend but no, doesn't sound good.
If you want a moist cake you make a simple syrup and brush the cake or spritz it with a sprayer. If not for kids, I prefer rum or brandy. Make a few days ahead, so it absorbs more. I brush 2-3 times per day, not on day you serve. I lightly wrap in plastic so the alcohol evaporates.
