I've never done a fast before, but christmas is coming and i'll be visiting a lot family members i havent seen in a while, so I want to lose at least 15 pounds. If I go on a 13 day water fast..how much weight do you think i'll lose.. im 5'6 and weigh like 130--but after i go off the fast i'll just drink fresh fruit juices from my juicer and then ease in to eating small pieces of fruit ..but back to the question..how much weight can you lose on a 13 day water fast?---it would be good if they have people that actually did fasting also to answer.
If you go on a 13 day water fast, you will require 13 days to break the fast, eating only small amounts of raw foods, starting very small and working your way back to eating normal. If you do not break your fast properly, you can get very sick. So if you begin the water fast now, say goodbye to eating the holiday foods. You would be far better off cutting your calories, eating only low-salt diet, and drinking 12 glasses of water a day to flush the excess sodium and bloat from your body.

your body uses fat for energy, so it fat is stored for long term usage. you will lose MUSCLE before you lose FAT. therefore, your body will get weaker.
water has ZERO nutrients or vitamins in it, so you will have duller hair, skin, weaker immune system (which is horrible in winter b/c of the flu) and too much water may cause diarrhea.

the easiest way to diet is:
- eat foods high in fiber/protein
- avoid fats, greasy foods, salty foods, and sugary foods
- avoid diet drinks, they are still filled with fake sugar and chemicals
- eat small meals (a little bigger than the size of your fist) 6x a day
- your biggest meal should be breakfast, your smallest should be dinner
- never eat before you sleep, eat 4-5hrs before you sleep
