What should I put in the juicer with beets that will taste good?
I heard beets are good for your hair and nails, but what should I put with them that will taste good? I want something that will offset the strong taste of the beets a little. I was thinking maybe carrots and some fruit juice but what kind? Grape? Orange? Nothing green and no tomatoes please!
I've never used beets in a juice before, but I will say that pineapple juice is very overwhelming. If you use it, maybe it will mask the beet flavor?

I bought a juicer and I have a question?
The cast off..the debris that collects fromt he veggies. Are these completely without nutrition and use?
Can I, for ex, put tomato juice leftovers in pasta sauce?
You can make some use of the leftovers which are full of fiber. Some use the leftover carrot to put in a carrot cake; if you do choose to do this, I'd recommend adding pineapple for moisture. You can certainly use the veggies for a stock: sweat all the leftovers in some oil, add water, boil for a couple of hours and strain through a fine mesh sieve. I don't think that the tomato leftover would create a very saucy sauce; try adding some stock for some body or even oil. You could probably end up making a tomato style pesto by adding the leftovers, garlic, lemon juice, any herbs (or even spinach or arugala), some EVOO, and if needed, some pasta water.
