Two Speed Juice
If I ran a mile a day at a speed of 5 miles per hour for two months would that flatten my abs?
I am going on a mainly whole grains fruits and veggies diet, I am doing 200 sit-ups a day and I am running one mile each day at a speed of 4-5 miles per hour. Will this flatten my abs and make me lose 5 pounds this summer? Also If I stretched for 15-30 minutes a day would that make me able to touch my toes in 2 months? Also I am drinking nothing but water and occasionly juice but only one every other day.
I weight 95 pounds and I am 4'10 I want to lose 5 pounds and flatten my abs in 2 months.

The situps will help flatten your abs (you don't need to do that many every day), but not the jogging. Jogging is cardio - good for your heart - though I don't think you need to go that fast. Stretching should always be done before you go running and also after to help you cool down and not get muscle spasms or cramps. Why do you think you need to lose 5 pounds? 95 pounds is a GREAT weight for someone your height - I'm 4' 10" also and anywhere between 95 and 105 is the ideal weight for that height. Whole grains, fruits and veggies are very good for you, just don't forget the protien.

Weight Training Nautral?
Hello, I am 15, and I would like to gain muscle mass and tone my muscles. I understand some very basic things about training, but I would like to understand the nutritional aspect also.
I only eat natural, no hormone, no genetically modified foods, usually raw. I also drink pure juice and sleep, around 11:00 to 6:30 in the morning. I do not eat energy bars, nor drink Powerade/ Gatorade, because someone told me it was poison. They also told me to not eat Centrum, or any pills for vitamins.
I need the power and speed for two sports, fencing, and swimming. Cross training?
But I also want to look nice in the summer on the beach.
I currently bench 90 pounds and curl 30 on my left arm, 40 on my right. I can do about 20 pull ups and run my mile for 6-7 minutes.
I would like to train better, easier, and faster, without being stupid.
Does the amount of time you work out a muscle matter?

It seems that you are in excellent shape!
Muscle mass comes through a lot of variables:
You seem to be more endurance-oriented.
*You'll live longer
*You'll probably out perform your competition, given your aerobic conditioning/sports of choice.
*This usually lends itself to longer, leaner muscle mass.
Supplementing with vitamins might be an option:
*ONLY multivitamins.
*NO creatine, "gonga-voodoo", etc. (they'll only screw with your physical development).
Try weights (three sets of no more than 6 reps./ STRICT form -you're exercising your muscles, NOT your ego)
Try both barbell AND dumbbell movements to increase size and strength (remember, dumbbell exercises should NOT be power [heavy poundage] movements).
Dips, pull ups, and push ups are all great. If they get too easy, try doing a few reps (3-5) SLOWLY -as if in slow motion).
It seems that you're doing the right thing with your diet (natural, high quality, fresh,), good job!
Remember to hydrate (H2O is best!).
GET ENOUGH REST! 3 times per week on the weights, three to five sets of no more than 3-5 reps. per set.
Remember to GET ENOUGH SLEEP! Athletes such as yourself need at least 8 hours of sleep per evening. Very tough to do as a teenager, I know.
Overtraining sucks, and also causes anxiety and loss of motivation.

V8 is more than just "slightly altered from fresh juice. It's dead.
One of the reasons juice fasts are beneficial is that they are packed with enzymes which speed digestion and improve circulation, thus aiding weight loss and increasing energy.
Not only have the vegetables used in V-8 been irradiated, killing all of the enzymes, but the juice has been cooked- destroying other nutrients.
Your energy will sag, your hunger will increase, and you won't last a week. When you then stop your "diet," you will rebound, and the end result will be a net gain of 2.5 pounds.
