Vegetable Juice Recipes Juicer

Does anyone have any good juice recipes?
I just bought a juicer so I can make my own fruit and vegetable juices at home.
I have had a heart attack and have COPD. I'm supposed to be eating a lot of fresh fruits and veggies, but just can't eat that amount on a daily basis, but can still get the vitamins etc. through fresh juice.
Does anyone have some juice recipes they would be willing to share?
Here's a site I bookmark and follow closely. Lots of interesting ideas there.
Nutrients, vitamin and enzymes are delivered to your body very quickly when you drink a glass of fruit and vegetable juices. Your are on the right track, Toby.

❤ Free Juicing Recipes * The LIFESAVER Green Vegetable Juice ❤
What are the best vegetables to juice?
Have just bought a juicer because I dont eat veg apart from carrots and wondered what tasted good juiced. Have seen recipes but would like some personal recommendations.
I love carrot with an apple. 3 carrots and 1 apple Mmmm...
Be careful with beet juice though. When it says cleanser. They aren't joking. Broccolli is good. Pineapple and strawberry, yummy. Or celery with tomato. You can't juice bannanas

Great article. Yoga is really superb for the digestive system. I used both yoga and vegetable juice recipes to get rid of IBS. Juicing can be extremely soothing for the digestion. But we do need some kind of exercise as well, and nothing beats yoga in this respect.

Orange-Tomato Blush
This wonderfully tangy drink, packed with energy-yielding carbohydrates, is refreshing for breakfast or brunch or as a pick-me-up at any time of day. It also makes an excellent alcohol-free alternative to a cocktail before lunch or dinner.
1 ripe mango, peeled and coarsely chopped
1 pound tomatoes, skinned, halved and seeded
11/2 pound watermelon, peeled, seeded and cut in to chunks
Grated zest and juice of 1 orange
Grated zest and juice of 1 lime
Ice
Orange and lime slices (optional)
1. In a food processor or blender, puree mango, tomatoes, watermelon, orange and lime zest and juice until smooth. (You may have to do this in 2 batches.)
2. Half fill 4 large glasses with ice. Fill with orange-tomato blush. Garnish with orange and lime slices, if you like. Serve immediately.
Tropical Smoothie
In blender, combine 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt, 3/4 cup mango chunks, 1/2 cup banana slices, 1tbsp. lime juice, 2 tsp. sugar, and 4 ice cubes. Blend until smooth and thick. Garnish with a mint sprig and slices of mango and lime. Serves 2.
Have fun! ~ Enjoy! ~
Good luck! _;-)

Hi Claude,
This is not a silly question at all. I think many people are concerned about doing a cleanse because they are afraid they will need to stay close to the bathroom a lot of the time. And this actually is true. So, for people who work outside of their home or have other restrictions here is what I recommend: Start out with a brief cleanse over the weekend when you can arrange to stay home and not make a lot of demands on yourself, physically. If you can only do a two day cleanse on Saturday and Sunday then I suggest you do only vegetable and “greens” juices as your “meals” and then supplement before, during, and after with big mugs of iced CALM beverage (powdered magnesium supplement you mix in water – find it at your local health food store), green tea, and lemon water cleanse (juice from 1/2 a fresh lemon or lime, 3 Tbl. B Grade Pure Maple Syrup & a sprinkling of cayenne in a 20 oz. mug and filled to the top with water.) This can be sipped hot or cold.)
Use the vegetable juice recipes I provide above as a template but feel free to change them up with the greens and vegetables of your choice.
Do that for the two full days of your weekend and then again for your morning meal on Monday. For lunch Monday afternoon have a simple green salad with perhaps some minced garlic, tomatoes or red bell pepper strips, raw red onion, mushrooms, cucumber or zucchini slices, avocado, shredded carrot… Try to stay away from oily, heavy dressings and opt for lemon juice or balsamic vinegar and fresh ground pepper instead. Then pick up the juicing again in the evening. You can do this for as many days as you like. This would be a great way to ease into a Raw Food eating style without doing anything too extreme, but you would still start seeing some real, substantial results in your health and wellness.
Thanks for asking, Claude! Feel free to ask questions anytime you have them and I'd LOVE to hear about your results/experience with the cleanse.
Blessings,
~tracy
