   This is why using a credit card is best for online purchases. The credit card companies will help you with stuff like this.

   Hi, Kelly! For years my crockpot was a huge, round Proctor Silex model. My new one is a Rival. A little bit smaller – but still sufficient for the needs of my family. No timer. No fancy gadgets. But I'm lucky – I have kids old enough that if I'm out, a quick call home to say, “Can you please turn off the crockpot?” prevents things from getting overdone. With little ones, a timer sounds like a wonderful idea!

   I make at least 2 full pots of coffee a day. I prefer the Mr. Coffee brand coffee makers. A good second brand is Proctor Silex brand. Any coffee maker I buy must have a delayed timer on it! I can not stand to get up and make coffee in the morning!
